C7: Devil In The Details

Can we help improve the design of everyday things?

Are ‘non-design’ folk able to contribute in any way?

Absolutley yes! And the first step is just noticing little pet peeves in your day to day.

In this speech – the C5 project from the competent communicators manual, I focus on  making my body speak. Focussing on body language, gestures, and controlled movement on stage to deliver an impacting talk.

I chose to focus my C5 Speech around a topic that I know like the back of my hand: Design. Here I talk to an audience who are not hyper aware of design in the way that I am. I focus on the idea that good design should not make us think – much like the book “The Design Of Everyday Things” by Donald Norman
